All of us live busy and demanding lives, so our worship is relaxed and informal.
We want to concentrate on what is important when we come to church, so we don't fuss about or get distracted with protocol and procedures.
We share our concerns and joys; reflect with the Pastor on his message; we sing and pray together; we cherish our children and spend time focusing on them; sometimes we do something different; we honor the life of Jesus of Nazareth by observing his birth, his ministry and teachings, his trials, temptations and death and how he overcame them and how we may overcome ours, too; we celebrate Jesus' last meal every week at the conclusion of our worship service so we are reminded that the spirit of Jesus is with us along with our brothers and sisters in the faith wherever we go or whatever we do during the week.
When you come to visit us during worship, we are not going to embarrass you and make like some Hollywood movie star just showed up, unless you like that sort of thing, then please tell us. Otherwise, we figure you're checking us out and want to see what's so special about us. If you slip out the door before anyone can introduce themselves, that's OK. And if you decide you want us to be your partner on life's journey, that's OK, too.
